Maori Never Ceded Sovereignty to the Crown

The art in the museums I visited focused on New Zealand artists more than artists from other countries. Maoris were strongly featured in the New Zealand art. Much of the art reflected Maori cultural ideas, and some expressed strong anti-colonial sentiments.
