Haast Eagle Skeleton
The Haast Eagle was probably the largest raptor who ever lived. These birds used to inhabit New Zealand's South Island, where they sometimes preyed on Moas. They must have been fearsome creatures. This skeleton of one was in the Otago Museum in Dunedin.
