Christmas Tree

When I was in New Zeraland, a Pohutukawa had mostly white buds, and a few of the red flowers were already out. When in full bloom, the entire tree looks red, which usually happens just before Christmas (at the beginning of the Southern Hemisphere summer), which is why the Pohutukawa is also called the Christmas tree.
