Golden-winged Warbler
On the evening of April 30, I taught a class about the warblers seen in the Washington metro area, and I said that Golden-winged Warblers are now rarely seen in our area. The next afternoon at Monticello Park, a Golden-winged Warbler dropped into the stream and bathed for close to five minutes. It was only the second one seen at the park since 2008.
