Tignous Grave

A cartoonist named Bernard Verlhac, also known as Tignous, is buried in Père Lachaise. He was one of the cartoonists killed in the Charlie Hebdo shootings, which took place in January, 2015, ten months before the Bataclan shootings. Verlhac was 57 years old and had four children. His grave has a quote from the French surrealist poet Paul Éluard: "You dream of being free, and I carry on".
