Capitaine Crochet

This poster was about a block from my hotel in Paris. The French word for hook is "crochet". The word Velcro is a combination of the French words "velour" and "crochet", which means velvet hooks. This poster is about a musical called The Revenge of Captain Hook. Somehow, Captain Crochet does not sound nearly as threatening, unless you fear being attacked by someone carrying small hooked needles.
