Eared Grebe

Quite a few Eared Grebes were swimming near the shore. They were difficult to photograph, because they dove a lot. In Europe, they are called Black-necked Grebes. They are also found in the United States, but usually in the western part of the country. They are rarely seen in the eastern US.
