Rufous Motmot

Motmots are large, colorful birds who are relatively slow moving. They sometimes come to feeders that have fruit. Many, including this Rufous Motmot, have a couple of elongated tail feathers with rackets. Some Central Americans call motmots "pajaro bobo," which means "stupid bird," because they often perch in the same place for a long period of time.
