White-crowned Parrots

The plumage of White-crowned Parrots seems to have all of the colors of the rainbow. The best fieldmark is the white on the top of the head, but if you look closely, you see gold and blue on the wings, red under the tail, and green on the back. From a distance, the bird look mostly dark, and the color detail is difficult to see. This pair was near the arboretum at CATIE.
