Talamancan Pit Viper

This Talamancan Pit Viper is an endemic venomous snake who was near where we saw the Resplendent Quetzals. The overlapping scales on the snake resemble the sequins-like feathers on the FIery-throated Hummingbird. We managed to capture the snake and put it into a sack. Someone who cares for snakes brought it to a safe place, because had it been found by local farmers, it probably would have been killed.
