Black Phoebe

Black Phoebes are flycatchers whose range extends up the Pacific Coast to the southern part of Washington. The ones I saw in Costa Rica were foraging in streams. As with the Eastern Phoebes I see in Virginia, the Black Phoebe sometimes flicks its tail.
