Green-and-black Fruiteater

Not all of the cotingas are beautiful and exciting. A group of cotingas called fruiteaters are mostly green birds who blend in with the leaves of trees. Fruiteater is a bad name, because almost all cotingas are frugivorous. This female Green-and-black Fruiteater was on the Guacamayos Ridge in the eastern Andes.
