Gorgeted Sunangel

Numerous Gorgeted Sunangels perched around the property at the Bellavista Lodge. When this species faces the sun, its gorget (feathers on the throat) is iridescent fuchsia. In medieval times, the gorget was the piece of armor that protected a knight's throat.
