Great Potoo and Chick
On the Pipeline Road, our guide pointed out a Great Potoo on the limb of a tree. If you look closely at the lower right portion of the potoo, you can see a chick, who looks like a bit of white fluff. The chick was probably less than a week old. The adult kept her eyes closed but let her head sway both to detect what was going on around her and to act like a branch blowing in the wind.
