Crested Guan

I saw Crested Guans in the trees near the cabanas at Chan Chich. They are more arboreal than the turkeys, who roost in trees at night but spend most of their time on the ground. The guans are all black with a red throat. They have bare dark skin on their face that makes them look vulturine.
