Common Sandpiper
The Common Sandpiper lived up to its name and was relatively easy to identify. They have a plain brown back and white underparts, with a white slash near the shoulder. They are like Spotted Sandpipers without spots (Spotless Sandpipers?) because they constantly bob their tails. I saw this one near the Hippopotamus Pool at Mikumi National Park, standing on a wood railing. Another one in Serengeti National Park was feeding on the backs of the hippos.
