Lesser Nighthawk
Nightjars are in a family sometimes called the goatsuckers, because they were thought to swoop down and drink the milk of grazing goats. In fact they were trying to catch the insects stirred up by the goats. They are mostlyly nocturnal. This Lesser Nighthawk was at the Summit Gardens down the road from Canopy Tower.
