Tawny Eagle
The Tawny Eagle is in the genus Aquilla, like the Golden Eagle seen in the US. The "a" at the beginning of Aquilla in the lower case is in the shape of a perched eagle. It was used in Egyptian hieroglyphics and adopted by the Phoenicians when they developed the first written alphabet. Aquilla is also the basis of the word "aquiline" to describe a hooked nose. Uganda has numerous eagles in the Aquilla genus. This bird was at Murchison Falls National Park.
