Ruppell's Starling
Ruppell's Starlings look like grackles, to whom they are not related. We saw them on most days. I found one of their feathers, and it was iridescent purple. Most Americans are familiar only with European Starlings and therefore tend to hate starlings, but Africa has a lot of beautiful starling species. This one was at the Mweya Lodge.
