Speckled Pigeons

Speckled Pigeons have become fairly common in areas of Uganda with human settlements. Some were near the airport when I was there at the end of my trip. The red patch around the eye stands out. Uganda has introduced Rock Pigeons in areas with human settlements. The Speckled Pigeons are native. I saw these birds on the road between Kisoro and Lake Mburo.
