Senegal Thick-knee

Thick-knees are active at night, which you can tell by their large eyes. This Senegal Thick-knee at Murchison Falls National Park is similar to the Water Thick-knee but has a slightly different facial pattern and wing pattern. You can see the knobs on its legs which are the basis of the birds name, even though those are the bird's ankles. The knees are higher up, under the feathers.
