Olive Baboon
Olive Baboons were common in many places, often in good numbers. At the Budongo Eco Lodge, they hung around the dining area, hoping to snatch an unattended morsel of food after a diner had left. At the Paraa Lodge, I had to pass a large group of baboons while walking through the complex. One seemed to have a melon, and the others gave chase. When I arrived at my room at Rwakobo Rock near Lake Mburo, the cushions on the outdoor sofa were strewn all over the place. I was warned to keep my doors locked because of the baboons. This one was sitting in the road between Fort Portal to Kibale.
