Black Bee-eater

All of the bee-eaters are gorgeous, but the Black Bee-eater is especially beautiful, with its bright scarlet throat and turquoise streaks on its black underparts. This photo was taken as we were leaving Kibale Forest National Park after I had gone chimpanzee tracking.
