Nazca Booby

Nazca Boobies lay two eggs, but one is for insurance only in case something happens to the other one. On Genovesa, I saw all stages of their breeding cycle. Some were gathering nest material. Some were copulating. Some were sitting on eggs. Some were with chicks of various ages. They are very vocal, and some make a noise like a European Starling’s wolf whistle.
