African Harrier-Hawk

We saw this African Harrier-Hawk while we were driving toward Buhoma. It was perched on the trunk of a tree almost like a woodpecker, yanking at strands of fiber. It occasionally spread its wings to keep its balance. The hip joints of a harrier-hawk can pivot 360 degrees. It has bare yellow skin on the face and barred underparts.
