Nazi Genocide

Paris is a city with deep historical roots. Everywhere you go, you see statues of people from the past and remembrances of past people and events. At Père Lachaise, this memorial was built to remember people sent to concentration camps by the Nazis. Buna-Monowitz, also known as Auschwitz III, was one of the three concentration camps in the Auschwitz system. Being marked as a "commando" in this camp was a terrible punishment in which people were forced to stand still outside in the cold while wearing little clothing. A gun was pointed at them, and they were shot if they moved.
