Jim Morrison

One of the most famous graves at Père Lachaise belongs to the singer Jim Morrison of the Doors, who died in Paris in 1971 at age 27. The grave used to have a bust of Morrison, but that was defaced and later removed. The current plaque on the grave has a Greek inscription ΚΑΤΑ ΤΟΝ ΔΑΙΜΟΝΑ ΕΑΥΤΟΥ, which means "According to his own demon".
