Marbled Wood-Quail
Marbled Wood-Quails are very difficult to find…usually. On the Pipeline Road, this Marbled Wood-Quail was fairly close to us, often stopping so that we could get long looks. We eventually walked away, and the bird seemed to follow us for another 20 minutes. Its call sounds like the squeaky wheel on a hospital trolley.
