Masked Trogon

This grumpy-looking bird is a female Masked Trogon at San Isidro. She sat on the railing of one of the cottages, and she did not seem to mind when I went fairly close to her. Male and female trogons of the same species often have significantly different plumage. The male Masked Trogon is green rather than brown.
