Eastern Kingbirds are common near where I live in Virginia. This one was perched in the fields near Chan Chich in Belize. They are in a family called the tyrant flycatchers, which is the largest bird family in the world. The scientific name of the Eastern Kingbird is Tyrannus tyrannus, which makes it the tyrant of tyrants.
