Ferruginous Pygmy-Owl

Near the Napo Wildlife Center, I saw a Ferruginous Pygmy Owl. It had a snake in its right talons. In the Neotropics, people imitate this species to attract small passerines the same way that people in Virginia here will imitate a screech-owl. Ferruginous Pygmy Owls sound like a Saw-whet Owl.
