Helmeted Guineafowl

Helmeted Guineafowl are big and have a bony casque on the top of their head. I am told they taste good, and they are one of the species Turkish traders used to sell, thereby creating the confusion which resulted in our large North American gallinaceous birds being called turkeys. This bird was at Ngorongoro Crater.
