Gray-necked Wood-Rails

I had a couple of strange experiences with Gray-necked Wood-Rails on this trip. This pair was walking on a lawn at Chan Chich in Belize. They stayed for a long time looking for food next to someone's house, even though rails are usually very shy. At Canopy Lodge, I was on the veranda with some people doing a bird list for the day when two Gray-necked Wood-Rails hopped onto a feeder and began to eat bananas. Seeing rails on a feeding table was very strange.
