Water Thick-knee Egg

This broken egg of a Water Thick-knee was at Dindira Swamp. The parents were nearby. The egg was not broken as if someone had stepped on it, because of the way it was cracked and the yolk being unbroken. You can tell that the young are precocial by the large size of the yolk relative to the shell.
