Rose-breasted Grosbeak

I was talking to a friend on the other side of the stream at Monticello Park in Alexandria, Virginia, when this male Rose-breasted Grosbeak alit on a branch at eye level right between us. We both had cameras and were snapping away at this bird, who stayed in the same spot for about five minutes.
