Marine Iguanas

A lot of people talk about how birds are really feathered dinosaurs. I tend not to think about such things when looking at birds, but I think a lot about dinosaurs when looking at iguanas. These Marine Iguanas on San Cristobal in the Galapagos appeared to have evolved very little from the time of the dinosaurs. When young, they are similar in color to the lava rocks. The females lay 2-3 eggs. The males have more spikes on their back than the females.
