Hoatzin
Hoatzins are called Stinky Turkeys, and one of the reason there are so many of them is that their flesh stinks, so people don't hunt them. The taxonomy of Hoatzins is unclear. They are now the only member of a family called the Opisthocomidae, which is Greek for "wearing long hair behind" -- a reference to the punk hairdo. When Hoatzins land, they take a long time to close their wings and look Dracula-like. They make a noise that sounds like a loud snuffling. They were common around the Napo Wildlife Center.
