Prothonotary Warbler
This male Prothonotary Warbler was singing near Riley's Lock along the C&O Canal Towpath in Maryland. The bird's name comes from clerical scribes called prothonotaries who used to wear yellow cloaks -- hence the "notary" part at the end of the word.
