Marabou Stork and Little Egrets
On Lake Victoria, we stopped at a market run by the Sukuma Tribe, who are fishing people. Among the people who were conducting business at the market were about 50 Marabou Storks, who were taller than most of the children and as tall as some of the adults. They walked among the people as if they were customers at the market, and the people did not seem to pay much attention to them. You can see the enormous size of these birds by comparing them to both the woman and the Little Egrets.
