Chimango Caracara

This Chimango Caracara at Tierra del Fuego National Park was much smaller than the Southern Caracaras who were also in the park. Both were looking for food in the picnic area. They are in the same family as falcons and are not related to hawks, even though they behave like a hawk. Some of them did not fly when we walked close to them.
