Bras D'Eau Revisited
It is just over 3 years since I last took images of the Mangrove trees in the shallows of the seashore at Bras D'eau beach in Mauritius. Several trees had changed or disappeared, but there was some promising new growth - helping to protect the shore during stormy weather.
I must confess that I am fascinated by these trees, and in particular by their root systems - their complex structure and rich colours contrast so well with the surrounding sea in a long exposure image.
Bras D'Eaux beach is on the edge of the Bras D'Eau National Park on the East coast of Mauritius, and well worth a visit should you ever visit the island.
