There is an ongoing discussion about whether or not aurora photography is best done on a moonless night or with moonlight. Both certainly give a very different kind of atmosphere. Pictures taken with moonlight can really show you the landscape whilst moonless pictures really show the aurora to its maximum. For everyone to decide but for me, both are a great subject!
