Mainz, Lebenskraft und Dom
Kurztrip nach Mainz - Ich hatte mir vorgenommen, das Kunstwerk "Lebenskraft" zusammen mit dem Dom in der blauen Stunde zu fotografieren. Es befindet sich auf dem Jockel-Fuchs-Platz vor dem Rathaus. Am Abend vorher schaute ich mir die Location an und am nächsten Abend rückte ich mit Stativ und Ausrüstung an.....um festzustellen, dass die Plastik und der Platz ein beliebter Treffpunkt Mainzer Jugendlicher ist, die sich mit Rap-Musik und Getränken sich hier am Wochenende treffen. Auch nach einer Stunde Wartezeit machten sie noch keine Anstalten, nach Hause zu gehen. Erst als die ersten Regentropfen des angekündigten Gewitters fielen, hatten sie es plötzlich sehr eilig. Nun musste ich schnell reagieren, um mein Bild vor dem Unwetter auf die Speicherkarte zu bannen - Ich habe es gerade noch vor dem Wolkenbruch geschafft und konnte sogar noch einen Blitz einfangen. Der Abend war gerettet. (Die zahllosen Flaschen und Pizza-Packungen konnte ich mit dem Photoshop-Stempel aufräumen).
Short trip to Mainz - I had decided to photograph the work of art "Vitality" together with the cathedral in the blue hour. It is located on Jockel-Fuchs-Platz in front of the town hall. The evening before I looked at the location and the next evening I came with a tripod and equipment ..... to find out that the plastic and the square is a popular meeting place for young people in Mainz gathering around with drinks and rap music at the weekend. Even after waiting an hour, they made no move to go home. Finally when the first raindrops of the announced thunderstorm fell they were suddenly in a great hurry. Now I had to react quickly to capture my picture on the memory card before the storm - I just made it before the downpour and was even able to catch a lightning bolt. The evening was saved. (Of course I had to tidy up all the bottles and pizza packs with the Photshop stamp.)
