\ Cleansing of New Plympto /

It has been several rotations since our arrival here on New Plympto and we've had no shortage of action. Lord Vader instructed me and my men to take care of the locals who've put up resistance with their new emperor and give him a report on the rumors that a former Jedi Knight might be among them. Unlike what has been said, these "rebels" have little experience and have been quite an easy foe to defeat. The only change I would've made was to bombard them from the sky. Our final advancement on the enemy begins tomorrow. My only real question is, what happens to us when we're done here? There has been talk among the men of this subject for some time. We troopers are born to battle, anything else is well, against our nature. - Commander Vill

In collaboration with Beyond The Brick and CloneArmyCustoms I bring you my next MOC, another build from the Dark Times era from the “Path to Nowhere” comic. Seen here are 501st Clone Troopers wiping out what remains of a Nosaurian resistance force.

Unlike the previous builds I’ve done, I wanted this one to be focused on the build itself and experiment with a few techniques for the landscaping and trees. Above the classic border design I have for my builds, I used different colors to create layers to the dirt seen here. For those interested in knowing which, I wound up using Black for the bottom, followed by Dark Brown and finally Reddish Brown for the top. The path uses Medium Nougat elements. I’m not a particularly stellar fan of trees, one of the harder things to get naturally done, but I think the results for the two designs here works well. I was able to use a lot of previously acquired LUGBULK elements for those and ended up turning out better than I expected. For those familiar with the comic and wanting to point it out, the TX-130s are indeed in a different color scheme. I went for the classic look for one cause I wanted it to stand out more.

Additional thank you to my friend Kevin for letting me use his TX-130 design in the build as well.

If you like this build, consider tapping the like button ever so slightly and if you’re feeling like doing a bit extra, follow me here. Thanks!
