The CED isn't in good condition. An analogue video format (like LaserDisc's video and some of LD's audio), one consequence is that you can see the boundary markers of the frames. There are 8 frames per rotation, and the motor turned at a speed to put 60 (NTSC) or 50 (PAL) frames under the needle per second. More than one rotation per frame is required, but the boundaries are clear.
