I like the very gentle gradation of subtle natural colours in this bird, these akin to the natural wools from indigenous sheep breeds used to knit Shetland Orkney Fair isle and Icelandic sweaters.

 

One would be hard pushed to achieve such perfect tonal gradations if using a computer.
