Adult male Chaffinch looking in good condition. We have about 26+ dominating the feeders, endless squabbles, great entertainment. The daily fly through by the Sparrowhawk disperses them for a short time but they successfully evade its predations being very skilled fliers. The less agile Rock Doves which also visit the feeders like locusts, are less safe from predation and lose the occasional individual to the Sparrowhawk.
