One of the very few orchids seen around our locality this year. This one the only flower inside our garden perimeter, having grown only to a height of 4 inches. In a normal year we would expect to see many hundred on a coastal heathland meadow near the house, and showing one common, and three locally rare species. Weather circumstances this year have been such, that probably for a number of factors, orchids are a no show. Never observed this before.
