We continue our journey up Wisconsin Avenue, through Westown.

 

Banker, railroad magnate and politician Alexander Mitchell built the mansion, starting in 1848, the year Wisconsin became a state. It was expanded steadily over his lifetime, and has been the home of the Wisconsin Club since 1895.
