Al voor het 7de jaar op rij laat Wintergloed de stad schitteren met een prachtig lichtparcours van 3,5 km. De nieuwe route Machina Lumina neemt de wandelaar mee langs 10 unieke lichtinstallaties.
Machina Lumina is een mysterieuze, denkbeeldige machine waar licht een kostbaar product is dat stap voor stap wordt gemaakt. In deze belevenisvolle lichtwandeling stapt de bezoeker in een fantasierijke wereld waar licht ontstaat volgens een fascinerend productieproces.

“De activatie van licht”
De lichtkern, gemaakt in kunsthal BRUSK, is aangekomen in het oudste deel van de Machina Lumina: het historische Gruuthusepaleis. Dit centrale deel activeert al eeuwen het licht. Hier, tussen oude beelden en verhalen van het museum, stijgt de gebalde lichtkern op naar het hoogste punt van de Machina. Klaar om geactiveerd te worden.

Machina Lumina is a mysterious, imaginary machine where light is a precious commodity created step by step. In this experiential light walk, visitors enter a fantastical world where light is created through a fascinating production process.

Created at the BRUSK art gallery, the light core has arrived at Machina Lumina’s oldest section: the historic Gruuthuse Palace. This central part has been bringing light to life for centuries. Here, among the museum’s old statues and stories, the concentrated light core rises to the highest point of the Machina. Ready for activation.
